Taking pictures of a large family can be difficult and take a lot of time if you are not prepared. I had a blast taking this fun family's pictures, The family ended up having a great time too! When photographing a large family, it is best to do so earlier in the day, especially if there are young children involved. Everyone is usually fresh and rested when conducting a session in the morning. This client really wanted a large family picture so I made sure I took the group picture first, then I took this kids pictures, and then individual families next. When photographing young children, I have been more successful when I don't force the child to pose, but get them in a more natural setting.
A recent challenge was to photograph the same object everyday. This decorative birdhouse is my object. It lives on the table by my front entrance.
Monday's challenge is to photograph my object from above. Got on a step stool and took a shot of the top of my birdhouse.
Picture of my object from below. Instead of turning the birdhouse upside down. I laid down on the floor and took a picture looking up at it.
This is a great close up of my object. You can see the details of the color and wood. I love the rustic chic look.
I love to capture those special moments in people's lives through photography. I am constantly looking at a scene and thinking how could that work in a photo session, or what angle would work to capture the beauty that God has blessed us with.
