Part of being a good photographer is using your creativity to keep it unique. It is fun when clients give you the creative go ahead. Lots of fun memories can be captured. Maternity shoots can be the most creative because there are so many things you can incorporate into the session to show the couples unique style. Pink or blue balloons to reveal the baby's gender, or a string with little clothes pins to hang some of the new outfits the baby will be wearing are just a few items that add a unique twist to a session. Sometimes it is those impromptu items you pull in at the last minute that make the picture fun. I grabbed a round white plastic yard light for the young lady to hold that added a finishing touch to her gypsy Halloween costume. When scheduling your session with a photographer, don't forget to bring those unique items with you. You never know how they can be tied into your session to tell your story.
