![]() Today's theme is pink. Even thought this is a pink/peach color, it is one of my favorites pink tones. I also am crazy about photographing any type of flower. This flower is part of a silk flower arrangement I have in my craft room. ![]() One of the things my youngest daughter and I liked to do when she was little was collect beanie babies. This is one of the larger beanies. We had such fun going to flee markets to look for the latest and most unique one we could find back when they were a hot item. I think she ended up with 2 large containers full of beanies. This one lives in the playroom I set up for my grandchildren upstairs. ![]() Light blue is the theme for today. This is one of my favorite vases close up. I like the bubble look it has in the sunlight. I put this on a table in front of my window and just used the natural light. ![]() In sticking with the beanie baby theme, I chose to take a picture of the yellow and black fish. Today's theme is bright yellow. This little fish lives in the playroom upstairs I set up for my grandchildren. ![]() Pale yellow is the theme. I like using natural light when taking pictures. I put this roll of ribbon on the window seal, opened my aperture on my camera and took the shot.

![]() Playing a little catch up. I guess I have spring fever early because I have been cleaning out closets, organizing cabinets, and dusting everything. I found a suggestion on Pinterest on how to add shine to your hardwood floors without using expensive or harsh chemicals. It called for equal parts of vinegar and olive oil. I already had the ingredients so I thought why not?!? I put the vinegar and olive oil in a spray bottle and then sprayed small sections at a time on the floor. I then took a damp mop and mopped over to spread out the mixture. I took an old towel and buffed the floor until it shined. It did not take too long because I only have a small area in the front of the house. Thank goodness! I thought the floors looked silky smooth. The word for January 18 was silky so I thought this picture fit. I took the shot from this angle because this is the level I was on, my knees, while buffing into a "silky" shine. ![]() January 19 theme is "looking out the window". I took a picture out our front window. The weather has been wonderful this past weekend. Temps in the 60's. Of course, we live in Texas so it could change at anytime. If you don't like the weather, just wait cause it will change. LOL ![]() Finally caught up! Today's theme is tree(s). I love this willow tree in my backyard. In the spring and summer when there are leaves on it the branches provide a much need shade over the open patio. I wanted to show the picture below I took before Christmas when we had the ice storm. This is the same tree all covered in ice. I was so afraid the heaviness of the ice would break the branches, but we were lucky it did not. |
AuthorI love to capture those special moments in people's lives through photography. I am constantly looking at a scene and thinking how could that work in a photo session, or what angle would work to capture the beauty that God has blessed us with. Archives
