I love photographing weddings!  What a happy and exciting time! When booking a wedding, one of the first things I like to do is get to know the couple.  Through conversations I can gather ideas that are important to the bride and groom.  Most brides have an idea of what type of pictures they want, but I also like to send a suggested list of moments that can be fun to capture as well.  From this list, I can create an outline of poses and pictures the couple wants me to take throughout their special day.  My favorite part is the candid moments you catch that are not planned.  Some of these shots turn out to be some of the couples favorites. 

The Dallas Arboretum is one of the most beautiful outdoor attractions around.  It features 66-acres of spectacular display gardens that showcase incredible seasonal flowers, ornamental shrubs, trees and plant
collections on White Rock Lake. Individual tickets can be purchased, or a yearly membership which will get you in through out the year.  There are numerous locations throughout the gardens that offer beautiful and unique settings for any type of pictures.  The Arboretum is a very popular place for bridal and senior portraits.  I just love to go and take pictures of the scenery.  I could spend hours there!

Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning a wedding.  These images are memories that tell your story that will last a lifetime.  Your wedding photographer should meet with you several times throughout the process to insure they get the shots you want, and reflect your style.  I have created a checklist for my clients to go over that have suggestions of pictures the bride may want of her special day.  I encourage my clients to spend some time looking over the list to determine what is important to them and their family, and to add any shots they want to the list.  I also give my clients a list of questions I have regarding the wedding, colors, people involved and so forth.  A good photographer will want this information in order to make sure they capture the special moments of your wedding day.  I have found several sites that have good advice for the bride-to-be when considering hiring a wedding photographer.
