What a privilege is was to shoot my niece's one year session recently. I can't believe she will be a year old in just a few weeks. She was almost my birthday present last year. She was born less than an hour before my birthday! This little cutie had so much fun with her session...as you can see she loves cake and loves to show her personality through her expressions. I can't wait to attend her party in a few weeks!

Not only do I enjoy photographing people, I also enjoy working with still objects. I have the props, background and proper lighting to set the perfect stage to make your products look their best. Tammy at Lone Star Lather, has some of the best soaps. They not only look yummy, but smell great! I had lots of fun using my creativity to set up each soap scent with specific elements that would enhance that soap's ingredients.
I have had the opportunity of photographing this family several times over the past couple of years. It is fun to see how this family has grown. The boys are growing up so fast, and their daughter is now engaged! Even though off the trail was muddy from recent rains, we were able to get some great shots along the paved trail. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a great place for pictures. Arbor Hills is located in Plano just off the Dallas North Tollway. This location offers natural surroundings such as creeks, large rocks, bridge and even an observation tower.
Senior sessions can be a lot of fun. I like to incorporate items that represent the senior to give the session a personal touch. This young man wants to become a fire fighter when he graduates from college so we were able to get some great shots at the local fire station. A big thank you to the Wylie fire department for letting us come invade your space for some great pictures!
Congratulations to Clint & Tiffany on their recent marriage at Bear Creak Ranch. The wedding was beautiful. The path to the wedding alter was over a wooden railed bridge leading up to the large pergola that overlooks a small pond with a water fountain. After a short ceremony along with the mixing of the sand, the guests were ushered inside to a beautifully decorated reception area. As the ceremony ended, the sun was setting in the sky. It gave the feel of a "Happily Ever After Ending". Thank you Tiffany & Josh for letting me be a part of your journey together.
This is the second time in the past few years I have had the opportunity to work with this family. It is fun to see how a family grows from year to year. No matter what time of year, getting the family together for a group picture is always important. Having had my husband pass away last spring, I am so grateful we took the time to get those family pictures each year. These photos are precious memories to my family now. Samuel's Farm has some very large beautiful trees with several ponds. Great place for taking pictures! Of course we had to get pictures with the grandparents and grand kids. The one with just the grand kids on the bales of hay is one of my favorites.
Bear Creek Ranch has only been open since last spring, but has a lot of locations for unique photo opportunities with the country feel plus a touch of elegance. This beautiful bride-to-be has a classic look in this southern belle style dress. Her swept up hair with the diamond clip gives Tiffany a touch of elegance among the rustic atmosphere.
My favorite part of Bear Creek Ranch is a quaint little cabin that can accommodate any bride. There a room with perfect lighting and mirrors for make-up and hair. Right next to this room is a restroom with shower for getting ready. There is plenty of seating and even a small kitchen for light snacks. The circular stairway takes you up to a cute room with mirrors and comfy couches for getting ready for your special day. I recently had the privilege of taking Clint and Tiffany's engagement photos at The Harbor in Rockwall. Not only does The Harbor have stunning locations for pictures, this is also where Clint proposed to Tiffany so it makes this location extra special. I have known Clint's family for many years, and have seen him grow from a boy to an awesome young man. I met Tiffany a couple of years ago, but as you can see from the pictures they are very much in love, and both have a wonderful sense of humor. Of course there is a water fountain at The Harbor, and of course I have to get the classic water fountain picture! Love the lighthouse in the background in this shot, and always like to get a shot of the happy couple holding hands and walking. This couple was so much fun to photograph. They were pretty much up for anything. Love the street light shot where she is showing her sassy attitude.
Once again had the opportunity to take team softball pictures. These girls were very eager to pose, especially the funny pose!
Had so much fun recently photographing these cuties. They transformed from a uniformed softball team to a tough group of girls in tutu's. Thanks girls for making the session so much fun!

AuthorI love to capture those special moments in people's lives through photography. I am constantly looking at a scene and thinking how could that work in a photo session, or what angle would work to capture the beauty that God has blessed us with. Archives
